Microsoft just released a small tool with the name “Small Basic”. It’s a all-in-one programming environment for beginners:
“Small Basic is a project that’s aimed at bringing “fun” back to programming. By providing a small and easy to learn programming language in a friendly and inviting development environment, Small Basic makes programming a breeze. Ideal for kids and adults alike, Small Basic helps beginners take the first step into the wonderful world of programming.”

Funny. I was reading your blog lately and now saw that you posted this information about Microsoft Small Basic only one day before I did. And I didn’t read it here first, lol ;-)
I found out about Small Basic when I noticed that Microsoft Pex moved to an own area within the new Microsoft DevLabs. Here also Small Basic is hosted…
If you had a look at it – like I did – try out my Game of Life demonstration that I posted on the MSDN Small Basic Forum. The link is on my blog at trimagination.info.
Sorry, but I swear on qbasic! The real one! ;-)
